Tripropylene Glycol
TPG is a clear, colorless, viscous liquid that is miscible in water. It has low toxicity, low volatility and slow evaporation. It is distilled by hydrolysis of propylene oxide. Uses: A initiator for urethane polyols, in the manufacturing of polyester plastics, a solvent and homogenising agent for inks and other coloring materials, varnish remover, hard surface cleaning formulations and penetrating oils, lubricant, anti-freezing agent, in plasticizers, emulsifiers and hydraulic fluids, and as a disinfectant in cosmetics.
