A solvent dye is a dye that is soluble in organic solvents. Blue solvent dyes tend to anthraquinone dyes, while red and yellow solvent dyes are usually azo dyes. Uses: To color organic solvents, hydrocarbon fuels, waxes, lubricants, plastics, for Gold immitation of metalized polyester films, and in marking inks, inkjet inks, and glass coloration.
