A white solid, it is the potassium salt of sorbic acid. Uses: To inhibit molds and yeast in food, in dried fruit products, in herbal dietary supplements to prevent mold and increase shelf life, in personal care products to prevent microorganisms, as a replacement for parabens. CAS# (590-00-1)
