Phenolic resin is obtained by polymerization between resin and a base material that can be paper, glass or cotton. The base material used depends on the application of the finished product. Uses: To make molded products like pool ball, counter-tops, coatings and adhesives, paper phenolics are used in the manufacture of electrical components, glass phenolics are used in the high speed bearing market.
