Also known as methyl acrylate, it is a clear liquid that is soluble in ether and alcohol and only slightly soluble in water. It is the simplest unsaturated carboxylic acid. Uses: To form homopolymers or co-polymers used in coatings, adhesives, elastomers, super absorbent polymers, flocculants, fibers, and plastics. CAS# (96-33-3)
