Cyclohexanone

Cyclohexanone is a six carbon cyclic molecule with a ketone functional group. It is a colorless, oily liquid with an odor that is similar to oil of peppermint and acetone. Is slightly soluble in water, but miscible with the most common organic solvents. Uses: Industrial solvent, an activator in oxidation reactions, in the synthesis of other chemicals. CAS# (108-94-1)
