In 2013 TRI established the TRI Energy Division in order to better serve the Oil & Gas industry. This development provided the necessary focus to improve their product offerings and service to an industry they’s already been servicing for many years.
Since the Energy Division was created, TRI has aligned with a few strategic supply partners, significantly adding to their capabilities and improving their overeall portfolio of drilling fluid additives.
It’s not by accident that the many of these new additives can be categorized as green and meet strict biodegradability requirements. As in most industries, the battle between regulations, price, and performance continues to play itself out. Of course, distributing technical products such as these has meant many hours of training for the TRI sales team. This year, they have participated in mud schools, technical conferences, and in-house training sessions with many suppliers.
