TRInternational, Inc. (TRI) celebrates another year on the Puget Sound Business Journal’s list of Washington State’s 100 Largest Private Companies, published June 26th, 2015. The list is based on companies headquartered in Washington ranked by 2014 Revenues.
As a world-class chemical distributor TRI ranked #98 with revenues of more than $47 million and at the time 19 employees nationwide and 28 employees company-wide. In an industry where global coverage is key, TRI counts six regional offices throughout the USA, a sourcing office in Shanghai, China, and global trading offices in Dubai, U.A.E.
TRI reflects back nearly 21 years when our CEO, Anthony Ridnell worked out of his house with one other employee. Visualize cords running all over the house and working all hours of the day to start and finish a deal. Since the internet was new, the fax machine was the primary method of quick communication, and Anthony would often sleep near the machine so he could hear it ring in the night when international business would arise. To date, we host a range of management and operation staff in our Headquarters located in a high-rise in downtown Seattle with regional sales and support offices throughout the USA, China and the Middle East. Technology has created seamless international interaction through video calls, emails and systems that promote the sharing information, however, TRI still believes in face to face business when at all possible.
