Impact: Coronavirus & Chemical Sourcing
Global supply chain impact and logistical solutions to current sourcing challenges
As we navigate the sourcing challenges posed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), TRI is proud of our commitment to assist you and your business. At the present time, several industries are beginning to feel the impact of the pandemic on the entire global supply chain. Companies must be prepared for these disruptions. We are taking our role as one of the industry’s most respected importers seriously, and have already started providing our customers with the information and sourcing options they need to maintain and grow their businesses.
While many companies in China remain optimistic about their ability to deliver products, we know that the uncertainties surrounding availability of supply, staffing, and logistics pose a threat to China’s ability to deliver. This is already affecting the supply chain and logistical environments of most of the world’s large economies. With China producing such a significant amount of the world’s raw materials, the effects will be prolonged and far-reaching. With China’s borders of commerce effectively closed, the global markets are re-aligning and shifting their available supply. When the export of China’s goods does attempt a return to normalcy, a shortage of vessel space and backlog will likely cause continued troubling delays.
In the early 1990’s, TRI was one of the first chemical distributors to devote itself to becoming experts at import-based chemical and raw material distribution. In our over twenty-five years of business, we have developed time-honored relationships with suppliers all over the world. We have also become a trusted authority on global chemical markets, and devote a significant amount of time and resources gathering and leveraging information for the benefit of our customers. Our success is based on our ability to solve customer problems, and we have gotten quite good at it over the years!
We are prepared to assist our customers, and believe that action taken sooner than later produces the most favorable results. We have already started solving problems for customers on products such as Benzyl Alcohol, Ascorbic Acid, Taurine, and several others. No problem is too big or too small for us to solve. We would encourage you to review and anticipate what needs you may have, and allow us to begin assisting you before your business feels the effects of significant delay or shortage.
We stand as stewards of your trust, and thank you for your business. Most importantly, we extend our thoughts and prayers for those affected.
Best Regards,
