Sodium Bromide
A white, crystalline solid that is a widely used source of the bromid ion. Was widely used as an anticonvulsant and a sedative in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Uses: In medicine as a hypnotic, anticonvulsant, and sedative, in photography, to establish a bromide ion reserve in a bromine hot tub spa antimicrobial treatment regimen. CAS# (7647-15-6)
