Dimethyl Carbonate
Also known as DMC, is a clear, flammable liquid. Can be prepared from catalytic oxidative carbonlylation of methanol with carbon monoxide and oxygen. This allows it to be considered a green reagent. Uses: To methylate anilines, phenols and carboxylic acids.
